West Indies Women Clinch T20I Series with Six-Wicket Victory Over South Africa
Cave Hill, Barbados | June 24– Captain Hayley Matthews delivered a stellar all-round performance to guide the West Indies Women's team to a six-wicket win over South Africa in the third and final T20I, securing the three-match series 2-1.
Chasing a target of 148 runs, West Indies faced early trouble, losing two quick wickets for just 32 runs. Openers Kiana Joseph (6) and Ryleeanna Grimmond (5) were dismissed cheaply. However, Shamain Campbell stepped in and stabilized the innings alongside Matthews with a crucial 82-run partnership for the third wicket.
Campbell scored a solid 42 runs off 38 balls, including two boundaries and a six, before being caught and bowled by Marizanne Kapp in the 16th over. Matthews followed soon after, bowled by Sune Luus in the 18th over, but not before making a match-winning 65 runs off 50 balls, hitting nine fours and a six.
Sheneta Grimmond sealed the chase with an unbeaten 20 off 11 balls, as West Indies finished at 148/4 in 18.3 overs, winning the match by six wickets.

Earlier, South Africa elected to bat after winning the toss and posted 147/6 in 20 overs.
