Kathmandu, July 24 –
Influential singer-musician and vocal advocate for women’s empowerment, Astha Raut, will light up the stage with a special performance during the official launch of the FIFA Football for Schools program in Nepal. The highly anticipated event will take place on July 31, 2025 (Shrawan 15, 2082) at the Dasharath Stadium, Kathmandu.

A formal agreement has been signed between the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and Astha Raut to mark this unique collaboration of sports and music. The deal was officially signed by Raut herself and ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai.

The FIFA Football for Schools program is a global initiative spearheaded by FIFA in collaboration with UNESCO, aiming to integrate football into school curricula worldwide. The initiative is designed to help students build essential life skills, promote inclusion and equality, and encourage healthy lifestyles through the power of sport.

This upcoming launch event in Nepal is expected to be a vibrant fusion of sports, education, and entertainment, symbolizing a fresh chapter in how football can shape young minds both on and off the field. 

Astha Raut will headline the FIFA Football for Schools launch on July 31 at Dasharath Stadium. The program, backed by FIFA and UNESCO, seeks to blend education and football to inspire and empower schoolchildren across Nepal.
