Kathmandu, July 17 – Madhesh United has appointed former national player Kopila Upreti as the head coach for the upcoming second edition of the Everest Women’s Volleyball League (EWVL).

Kopila Upreti has over a decade of experience as a member of the Nepal national women’s volleyball team. She was part of the national squad that won the bronze medal at the 10th South Asian Games (SAG). She is a certified coach, having completed both FIVB Level 1 and Level 2 coaching courses, and has also served as a coach for the Nepal Police Club.

Expressing her excitement upon signing with Madhesh United, Upreti stated,

“I’m thrilled to join Madhesh United as head coach. I believe our team will perform exceptionally and achieve great success in the league.”

The club expressed confidence that Upreti’s presence and experience will significantly strengthen the team and enhance its performance in the league.

Organized by Infinity Dreams, the second edition of the Everest Women’s Volleyball League is set to take place from September 5 to 13, 2025 (Bhadra 20–28), featuring six competitive franchise teams.
