MAs from Central and South Asia congregate in Dubai for the FIFA Forward 3.0 Workshop

The new FIFA Forward 3.0, the latest in a series of global initiatives, was unveiled at a workshop last week in Dubai by representatives of FIFA's six (6) Central Asian and five (5) South Asian Members Associations (MA).

FIFA Forward, now in its third and most recent incarnation, FIFA Forward 3.0, was introduced at the beginning of this year and enables FIFA to transfer cash among all of its associations for the advancement of football.

Since 2016, the project has supported FIFA's 211 MAs. Since the program's start, two successful iterations have been completed, and more than 2.8 billion USD have been committed to a wide range of plans and projects.

The level of funding for this cycle, which finishes in 2026, has increased significantly. Investments have increased by approximately 30%, with a large portion going towards achieving FIFA's target of having 60 million female players play football globally.

Along with FIFA Forward 3.0, other significant subjects discussed at the workshop in Dubai were women's football and international football development initiatives.

Additionally, MAs went in-depth on a variety of administrative issues, including compliance, good governance principles, financial governance, and FIFA Football for Schools and FIFA Digital Skills.
